What’s popping up near you? If you haven’t heard, pop-up events, pop-up stores and pop-up restaurants are all the rage right now. Instead of creating long-term events and spaces, these experiences are ephemeral, bringing people together for one fun occasion to create lifetime memories.
Bricco is helping Harrisburg enjoy this new approach to life by hosting pop-up events that bring together people to enjoy incredible food in a miss-it-and-you-miss-it-forever chance. Our pop-up events are bursting with local flair. They include live, local music and food made from locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients.
Bricco hosted this type of event in downtown Harrisburg for a Fourth of July party on Third Street. With red, white and blue decorations, a rocking live band and a fantastic menu featuring all-American fare with a twist, the event was a hit. People stayed until late into the evening, savoring incredible food that included:
- Corn on the Cob
- Loaded Potato Salad
- Smokey Cast-Iron Baked Beans and Ham Hock
- Wagyu Beef Sliders
- Rettland Farm Pork BBQ with Cabbage Slaw
- Rettland Farm Chicken Legs and Thighs Grilled Pork Ribs with a Caramelized Apple BBQ Glaze
- Fried Zucchini with a Zesty Dipping Sauce
- Grilled Blackhorse Oysters with a Browned Sriracha Lemon Aioli
- Cedar Plank Salmon in a Chili Maple Glaze
- Marinated Watermelon Wedges
- Steam Pot Middle Neck Clams
- Mason Jar Pickled Eggs
- Mason Jar Bread and Butter Pickles
- House-made Chips
The night was topped off with s’mores by Ciao Bakery. Could there be anything better to celebrate independence?
For some events, we have shut down entire streets in Harrisburg. For other pop-up events, we’ve held them in the locations where our food is sourced. These types of pop-up event let people see where their food comes from, and it allows guests to enjoy a meal right in the place where it started. If you want to feel closer to the food you eat, are curious about how your food is sourced or just want to redefine farm-to-table freshness, check out our dinner events in Harrisburg and the local area.
Pop-up events are casual and not structured for a different kind of dining event. Imagine being invited to a party at a chef’s house. This is the type of foodie atmosphere with a casual and intimate feel you get with pop-up dining.
Chef Bill is a big fan of Bricco pop-up events because he can really let his creativity soar. He can cook to the tastes of his guests, and there are fewer restrictions about menu items. Attending one of these events can give you a sense of how master chefs cook for the people who dine with them.
In addition to great food and unique dining experience, pop-up events also have a fantastic atmosphere. For example, Bricco’s Fourth of July event created a once-only chance to explore American food with a Harrisburg twist — in the middle of the street. The menu featured items you won’t find on any menu — and how often do you get a chance to dine and dance on a downtown street?
Pop-up dining events bring people together who are genuinely interested in food and unique experiences. Friendships start these events, and it’s not unusual for fascinating conversations about food to develop, either. Unlike restaurant dining, these meals tend to be more fun and relaxed. Also, since it’s one big party, there’s much more interaction between diners as well.
If you’re looking for casual dining with attention to food and atmosphere, you won’t find a more unique experience than Bricco pop-up events.
