Toast Springtime With These Creative Cocktails
Once spring hits in Harrisburg, everyone is anxious to get outside and explore the city. From street festivals to baseball games, the state capital is a happening place when warm weather and sunshine are aplenty! To celebrate springtime and the return of a more bustling downtown, we’ve created a unique menu of specialty seasonal cocktails.
Mint to Be
Maybe it’s the Kentucky Derby being right around the corner, but nothing quite says springtime like a minty cocktail. Our mixologists created their own twist on the classic Mint Julep: The Aged Blue Mountain. The tasty drink combines Aged Jack Daniels Honey, ginger ale and mint cubes. A perfect addition to happy hour, you’ll be ready to head off to the races — or out on the town — after this refreshing libation!
Cure Spring Fever
To celebrate the return of Cherry Blossoms and sundresses, we’ve created a drink named after what we were all suffering from these last few months: Spring Fever. The cocktail combines Bombay Sapphire, St. Germain, Aperol, lime juice, grapefruit juice and Prosecco. The light, bubbly taste is perfect for sipping after a day spent in the sunshine.
Merry and Muddled
Another warm-weather favorite is the mojito, and the muddling that’s characteristic of this classic drink brings bright flavors to the forefront. Our mixologists decided that muddling shouldn’t just be limited to the mint common in the mojito concoction, though — so they created the Basilisk.
Featuring muddled basil, cucumber, Absolut Citron, St. Germain, simple syrup and club soda, the flavor combination is divine. This is one warm-weather happy hour drink you should definitely add to your arsenal.
There’s a New Mule in Town
Harrisburg residents love their Moscow Mules, we know. Everyone seems enamored by the copper cup and the deliciousness inside. But who wants to be reminded of bitter cold and snow now that we’re finally free from Old Man Winter? That’s why we’ve released the Diablo Mule. El Mayor Blanco Tequila, lime juice, ginger beer and jalapeño combine to give you a cocktail that will have your thoughts drifting south of the border. ¡Salud!
Our mixologists have been having a bit of fun with the spring cocktail menu. Two new drinks give a nod to some of our favorite celebrities — both real and imagined. First up is the Norma Jean. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but this fruity combination of Three Olives Marilyn Monroe Strawberry Vodka, Domaine de Canton, strawberry and lime juice will give the sparkly gems a run for their money.
If you’re still mourning the end of “Mad Men,” you’ll enjoy our nod to the famed title character. The Don Draper features Knob Creek Bourbon Whiskey, our own house-made root beer bitters and sarsaparilla simple syrup — yum!
As a springtime thank you to our patrons, we’ll be offering the Aged Blue Mountain, Basilisk and Diablo Mule for half price from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weeknights during Happy Hour!
