Bricco Partners With the American Cancer Society for Farm to Table Event
According to the American Cancer Society, about 1.7 million Americans will be diagnosed with cancer. While treatment options have improved in the past several years, cancer is still a leading cause of death in this country, second only to heart disease. The team at Bricco wants to do something about these numbers, which is why we’re proud to partner with the American Cancer Society to host a special Farm to Table event in September.
About the Event
On September 23rd, you can join the American Cancer Society and us for our unique Farm to Table event. This innovative outdoor dining event will allow you to sample a special menu created from local farmers’ markets and farms. Multiple courses will be served, each matched carefully with Troegs Brewing Company beers and The Vineyard at Hershey wines. Chef Bill Collier of Bricco will be working to prepare the food, so those who have dined at Bricco before know they are in for a night of excellent food and innovative dishes.
You’ll get a chance to enjoy fresh air, excellent company, delicious food and more, all while making a difference and helping us fight cancer. During the Farm to Table event, you will also be able to learn more about the food you’re eating from local chefs and farmers. A keynote speaker from the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of Central Pennsylvania will share some words and help all of us understand more about the fight against cancer.
The Farm to Table event is a Bring Your Own Plate (BYOP) event, so show up with your plate and your determination to make a difference! Money from the event will be used for the American Cancer Society’s many services — such as providing transportation to cancer treatments, lodging for patients undergoing treatment, a 24/7 hotline with information about cancer and other services. In addition, the American Cancer Society will use the money raised through this event to fund research for cures and treatment for cancer.
Reserve Your Spot
This unforgettable Farm to Table event on September 23rd will put more funds toward programs and research supported by the American Cancer Society. The event will take place at The Vineyard at Hershey and will include a VIP reception, entertainment, silent auctions as well as special tributes to survivors and those who have lost their battle with cancer.
You can purchase tickets online, and you’ll want to reserve quickly to ensure you and your loved ones can go. This year, we expect tickets to sell out, so do not delay. If you cannot attend, you can also donate to the cause. If you would prefer to give of your time, you can also volunteer at the event.
